    Astons Express!

I believe most couple will be constantly in search of great dining places. to last in their relationships. As my years add on, I started to appreciate good food and it is the only one thing I wouldn’t mind splurging on.

A date usually starts out with either having lunch or dinner. Kenny and I kinda have a fixed routine. If we decide to meet up after work, it’s always dinner first then something else. Um, probably not just us, but applies to most people.

One evening a few months ago, I asked Wennie to recommend a good dining place and she told me Astons (The Cathay). She warned me to go early as the queue will be expectantly long. The stubborn me insists to wait for Kenny and only to reach there at 7+pm. By then, we were already starving! We didn’t get have our teeth on it for a consecutively few other tries..

And until recently, I got to finally have a taste of Astons because the Nuffies intend to have a late lunch there. We thought the queue will not be that long considering it wasn’t lunch time. Still we gotta wait for quite some time.. But finally we settled down. For the first in my 21 years, I tried steak. This sounds a bit sua ku but you can’t blame someone who just don’t eat beef except the ones at Yoshinoya. To be honest, that virgin experience made me fall in love with steak totally. Thanks to Wennie on the advise of medium rare. That absolutely original taste of steak and.. a bit of blood..? and a dip to its sauces sums up to a fabulous taste! HOHOHO. And since then, I dumped chicken chop and opt for steak whenever I visit a western house. Not to even mention the price, it’s most affordable and definitely worth the wait!

(Maybe cos’ I never tasted steak before so I thought that was really good, but even Wennie said it was good, so it must be really good!)

Having tasted such a good steak, I can’t wait to bring Kenny to Astons! Oh no, now it suddenly struck me that it wasn’t the first time I had steak. I personally grilled one for him and myself! Ha, now I remember but of course to compare.. gulps.

Yah back to yummy steak! Before I can bring him during the least peak hour, darling Cherie told me (she knew cos’ her BF stay near me) that just at the corner of my house, a few meters away they opened Astons Express!!! OMGGGGGGGGGGGG!

And so one fine day I brought him to this Astons Express in a Coffeeshop. Surprised? But a well-furnished one not those traditional kind. HOPEFULLY it will live up to its standards.

(I remembered I brought him to this Prawn Mee stall which everyone were raving about and it turns out to be bad on that particular day.)

We had our orders and as per usual cutlery served in with rattan baskets.

It turns out to have the exact standards despite its environment! Kenny said it was fantastic and we should have our meals more often there!

If you know where I’m staying, you’ll probably guessed where is it. Now I truly understand why Ming always tell us not to reveal his secret eating places.

Discovered a cool eating place today! Blog again, till then!

Towards the end of the partay, MC Liang on the other side was announcing winners and at one crazy corner, there’re 3 crazy biatches (no, actually 2 but poor Vernice got pulled in just because she is passing by) were dancing as if they are high on drugs! LOL check it out!

Scroll the bar to 0:35 secs (The group at the start is not us!)

As you can see at the end, we don’t know what to do.. that we just gotta play with the feathers.. LOL!! I know.. its pretty awful, but we had fun.. Its crazy.

    *******

One day before the Nuffnangers rock the actual party, the nuffies had an “internal party” at TGIF’s to celebrate Vernice’s birthday. I knew my choice of food would definitely be the Ribeye steak! The favourable exchange rate is perfect, and I wouldn’t mind splurging just for food! This KL trip made me feel guilty at the fact that I’ve been over eating!

When I saw Tim, I handed over a present Ming had brought all the way from the “motherland” (Old Trafford). A Man U tee with the name Boss Stewie sewed at the back!

Towards the end of the dinner while we were having fun and laughter, I felt a gentle pull at the back of my sleeve. When I turned back, Carol started whispering into my ears.. It was so soft, all that I could hear was..

“Vernice’s sister is coming.. stay on for a while more” (Some sort like this lah)

Then, I was told to pass on the message to the next person beside me and so it continued..

Few mins later, Vernice was asked to stand on a chair and we sang her a bday song.

I guess somebody starts clarifying about Vernice’s sister cos’ that took quite some time… and it came to a realisation that the message passed down was totally WRONG! Originally it was supposed to be..

    “Vernice’s desert is coming..”

Damn it, I BROKE THE CHAIN! HAHAHAHAHA. That’s how its like when a message was passed down by so many people.

While we waited for the bill, someone suggested we play the “passing-message game”.

TRUST ME. A totally logical and normal sentence could eventually be twisted into a nonsensical structure with sexual implicit! 3 tries and it turns out to be like this! And obviously some of them try to be funny and twisted it purposely! I wanted to give examples but my memory is failing me already. It’s just so funny!

I told Kenny of what happened at TGIF. He said something which is very true. Out of all the fun we had of that game, it lies a morale. That explains how RUMORS got worsen when mouths multiplied.

Lastly, let me present you with a himbo picture of YH trying very hard to curl his lashes with my curler.

Can see that he is trying very hard to impress Robb. (Just kidding!)
