I was an athletic, a natural sprinter – Could you tell?

Being a sportsperson made me highly competitive. The dark side was.. I couldn’t handle failure. Through the years from young till now, I gradually abandoned sports in terms of activeness. Looking back, it was totally a waste. Sports to me now is nothing about medals and trophies. It is a ‘tool’ to stay toned, healthy and pass time.

Sports is probably my deepest passion. On par with my love for 3D. But sadly, these two things of different nature, do not work the future for me. Often humans would think, what if they can start their life all over again? If I could, I would want to craft my life to fit in closely with the two.

People are furthering their studies in this competitive edge. I thought I was good in communications or at least, not too bad. Er, when I was much younger. I could bravely stand in front of crowds, voice out and demonstrate a great deal of confidence. Like sports, it fade away as I grew older.

When I first got in touch with 3D 4 years back. I spent hours modeling my object to perfection, still I never grew tired of it. Now that I’ve graduated for a year. Seeing my friends furthering their studies, it makes my heart itch despite financial issues. I log on to SIM uni website, browsed through them. Not long after and I hit ‘X’. The business, engineering, IT does not fascinate me at all! I want a primary 3d degree! Bah.. now I’m blabbering non-stop, shifting focus from my original topic.

K, sports. And so to sorta ‘rekindle’ the fire, 4 idiots participated in a Bike Rally around Singapore. A total route of 127km. It defines our endurance, our struggle and perseverance! I thought this could be easy, but never will I expect the race to be… so effortful and agonising. A mentally challenged moment, when often you find yourself speaking in the brain. “Be Strong! You can do it! Go Raine!”.

“Why do we even sign up for this” – Huiwen

“I swear I’m not going to touch my bic for 2 weeks at all” – Ryan

And upon asking if we wanna do this again next year?

“WHY NOT! LET’S DO IT!!” – Piao Piao

After the ride, I find it a chore to move a single muscle. For the first night straight after the rally, my thighs were burning! Apparently, my body does not ache 2 days later at all!

I could have blogged this better, but this event had past for quite some time and I’m lazy to recall now.

The photograph below builds up emotions in me.

Wassup with the exercising saga!? The past few days had been nothing but endurance of sports and the struggle of our will-power.

My weekend schedule last week was incredibly hectic. Nonetheless, enjoyable and interesting. I will blog soon about it but meanwhile, I will reveal a bet made between Kenny and my brother. I shall refer my brother as Piao Piao, in my blog from now onwards.

Yesterday (Sunday), I was too tired after the Bike Rally. After celebrating my mum’s birthday at night, I dozed off straight. This morning while I’m having lunch with Wennie, she told me an unbelievable pact made last night while I’m ZZZ-ing.

Kenny and Piao Piao will challenge each other to achieve abs within 60 days! I thought it was the funniest and interesting penalty to ever give to both of them.

Should Kenny not achieve within promised period, he will wear the same clothes to work for 3 days straight. (He minds A LOT on his attire) For Piao Piao, that will be 5 days with no games day! (Games = his maximum addiction)

And if you ask the CULPRIT behind such cranky ideas? None other than Wennie. I couldn’t help myself but burst into laughter upon hearing that.

After speaking with Kenny, he kept mumbling repeatedly. “I’m not going to wear the same clothes for 3 days, it will not happen at all!”

Oh yah, forget to mention that they have just added on the penalty – Wax leg hair, ouch!

The spectators, Wennie and I. Our roles probably consist of supporting and tempting the opposite party LOL.

    Examples such as.. like today..

My dad: Eh, I bought chicken wings.. (to Kenny)
Kenny: Oh uh.. Hao de Hao de.. (Insisting…)
Wennie: Takes chicken wing and eat infont of Kenny (Still persevering..)
    Kenny: Don’t tempt me laH!

For the first time, I see Kenny SO MOTIVATED. And when was the last time he had abs? During his secondary school days. Piao piao – never. Damn, I’m being bias here!

    Kenny’s plan

    • Running for 1 hr – in between 300 crunches EVERYDAY.
    • Fruits for breakfast
    • No carbo consumption, less meat, No starchy food.
    He wasn’t kidding, you know.

    Photobucket

He is eating salad for dinner!!! Kinda tough for me I cos’ if we were to have meals together, we will have to consider place serving healthy food such as Salads. And so I said. Why don’t I prepare salads for you to bring to work. Mmm..

    Photobucket

    As promised..

    Photobucket

He went running for an 1 hour and did 300 crunches! Super tired as shown.

    Photobucket

As Kenny returns from his night jog(his lousy shoes at the right), it is Piao Piao’s turn to have his bike gear up (left)

    Photobucket

    Photobucket

    DAY 1 SUCEEDED!
I have taken images of Kenny’s tummy and am going to continue capturing it till 60 days passed. Then, a slide show video will be created to spot the tremendous change!

Wennie and I are soooooo excited! To be honest, Kenny’s penalty seems more severe. However, I would love to see either one of them have their leg hairs WAXED!

    Another rant!

Just a lil update before I begin to finish up my work. There are few things I need to fix on Monday.. Honestly, monday blues is not really my thing, cos’ I love my job. I don’t deny that sometimes I do feel that way. Not sure why, it is always until the last minute of Sunday I’ll toss on my bed thinking…
Did I left out something? What is the first important thing to do during work tomorrow? On and on..
The case is.. I’m so afraid when Monday comes when work starts piling.
Whenever I’ve time, I will try to finish off some upcoming tasks I’ll forsee, during the weekends. At least my Monday wldn’t be so tense.
I so need a planner! My job requires me to have super good memory so that things get in place and execute swiftly as planned.
And back to my work, my weekends are completely booked out WHOLE DAY. Tomorrow (sat), I’m off to attend a conference at EXPO, G12 vision. That’s from early morning till late night. I forsee myself being tired. The next day, even more tired! Cos’ I’m going for a Bike Rally. Bike, I mean bicycle kay. If I’m not wrong we hafta reach ECP at 5:30am!! We’ll be cycling around Singapore. Sounds fun right? 600 cyclist!
So, so, so no matter what I have to, die die, cannot complain, to finish up my stuff tonight.. I’m already half sleepy.
Ending off with a movie rating!
Went to catch “Push” just now. Not that fantastic. My rating: 2.5/5. Needless to elaborate much. Tell me if anybody says its good.
Soon to update tomorrow (SAT!) BYE!

When the clock strikes 6:30am, he would drag his lazy body and felt forced to start another working day. I would often catch a glimpse or 2 to check out on him while he enter and leave the room. Lastly, fall back in to deep sleep after he kissed me goodbye.

This morning, he wore a top purchased from Korea which my first thought was – magnificent. It suits him so well, looks fantastic on him!

That made me wanting to take some pictures of him.

I’m suppose to finish drafting this post last week, straight after the event. It dragged for a week later and here’s it.

    Some day last week..

Me: I’ve this event at St. Regis this Thursday, it’s for the POSB Everyday Sports Champion campaign..

Cherie: Wah, so porsh! 6 star hotel leh!

Me: *Blur to the maximum* what!? It’s a 6 star?! Better than the fullerton?

    http://www.watg.com/uploads/images/large_B4A99D85-3048-78A8-DBFA076D853C0724.jpg
    Artist impression of the hotel

Seriously, what am i suppose to wear!

Then Ming says.. “Eh! I think ______ will be there! I read it on the news..”

Are you serious or not! To be honest, I thought he was kidding. In fact, I didn’t take it for real.

Thank god I have Wennie to assist me on the dress and hair! That tinkers me to prepare clothings for such events, now that I’m really working. (my orders from Korea not arrived yet!)

Forgot to mention, I’m attending POSB Everyday Sports Champion ‘09 event. Basically 57 winners will be announced and receiving awards on that day. After which voting will begin for the real champion. If you vote for the ultimate champion, you might have a chance to bring home $1000 cash! $_$ So my vote goes to..

Reason 1: She is among the top 3.. so voting for her would probably up my chance nearer to 1k!

Reason 2: I specifically admire sports person who never got tired of doing sports despite their quite-old age. Joyce Leong (above) for example, is 52 years old! Moreover, its a ’she’ so here goes my support!

    Back to the event.

    Photobucket

First, I will mention the hotel. The service is top-notch. From the very moment my foot kissed the ground. Simply fantastic! Often many of you might find this problem very common. I used to work in a banquet before and I know. Its either that they do not have enough staff or they simply can’t be bothered to top up your drinks at all! For St. Regis, they’ll make sure the water level is always to the brim. They served you individually and the presentation of the food is wonderful. It is chinese cuisine BTW.

So who is that mysterious person? None other than..

President S. R Nathan! Ming is not lying! To be Kiasu a bit, it’s the first time I’m seeing him in RL. Did not go to some tea drinking event @ the Istana before. He seems like a kind old man. *Waves*

Foods served then to the main highlight of the event. Awards ceremony!

I took quite a few, but lazy to upload!

    Time and formalities passed!

Guess what is the coversation circling the table!?

    *

    *

    *

    Food! Arnolds! Fried Chicken!

I dare not claim that Arnolds the best in the world. But probably to ME, its the best fried chicken in Singapore, that would mean beating KFC hands down!

It was then time for some business and interviewing with some of the winners..

    Here’s some group images..

    Photobucket

    *

    *

    *

The event was short and sweet! A perfect dinner to attend.

As per normal procedures, the president left earlier than anybody else!

Mrs Nathan said good night to me! Haha. Well, that’s of course I said first :P

I should be saying bye bye too!

And one last thing to add on, Minister of Community Development, Youth and Sports Minister Vivian Balakrishnan is probably the most yandao MP of all. And his wife is duper hot!

One day later in office, we were debating on how much we knew about Singapore. Ming asked if we’are able to name all the MPs or members of the cabinets without any references. He won.
