    Need You Now

You knew how it felt to need someone. I guess everyone who is or once in love will go through this phase.. and the lyrics of this song. Doesn’t it call out to something familar..

Have you not think about someone all the time just hoping you could dial him through the phone, regardless of the umpteen times you sternly reminded yourself not to but your heart and hands lost control.. And often it haunts you after midnight..

    Lovely song.

I wonder if there is any song for la mujer detrás de..

Need You Now – Lady Antebellum

Picture perfect memories scattered all around the floor
Reachin’ for the phone ’cause I can’t fight it anymore
And I wonder if I ever cross your mind
For me it happens all the time

It’s a quarter after one, I’m all alone and I need you now
Said I wouldn’t call but I lost all control and I need you now
And I don’t know how I can do without
    I just need you now

Another shot of whiskey can’t stop looking at the door
Wishing you’d come sweeping in the way you did before
And I wonder if I ever cross your mind
For me it happens all the time

It’s a quarter after one, I’m a little drunk and I need you now
Said I wouldn’t call but I lost all control and I need you now
And I don’t know how I can do without
    I just need you now

    woah woaaah.

Guess I’d rather hurt than feel nothin’ at all

It’s a quarter after one I’m all alone and I need you now

And I said I wouldn’t call but I’m a little drunk and I need you now

And I don’t know how I can do without

    I just need you now

I just need you now (wait)

Ooo, baby, I need you now

Regardless you being black, heavy, boyish-looking, I still love you and wouldn’t mind carrying you around despite your weight. Though I have hurt you several times and unintentionally dropped you, trust me – my heart sank too.

My one and only beloved D5000.

Ok, this sounds corny now. I still remember when I first sat eyes on it. The impulse buy which I never regretted. I still remember we were having the Blog Awards preparation and I am superbly distracted. “If I didn’t buy it today, I can’t work!!!”

It will be reaching its first birthday soon.. not that I am tired of Photography but it is certain that his time has reached, time for me to upgrade.

When I first had my pocket camera, I had exhausted it till the best I could. I knew it is time to own an entry level DSLR. I thought I will never upgrade but not for its inability to autofocus on advance lens, I wouldn’t have. Lens > Body. All I need now is a D90. That’s it!

    Piority list:

    1. Sell off my D5000
    2. Buy a D90
    3. Buy an external Flash

For those holding on a DLSR but does not have an external flash, I urge you to buy one. It is definitely worth the money. The result of direct flash is ugly but you could achieve “sunlight” using external flash. This is an example.

    Nonetheless, nothing beats natural sunlight.

Photography is love, and I will never ever give this hobby up. It actually makes me happy. That is how much joy it brings me :)

Unexpected day, the mood don’t come by like this. Just  feel like posting something in this little unnoticed cyberspace.

The photograph below was taken when Kenny just so happen to ‘post’ and not in any case, intentionally. So I thought, I’ll do some editing.

    Perhaps a little bit more well-managed one…

Which do you prefer? I think I will stick to current hairstyle until one fine day I started to envy pretty girls with long hair again.

Oh and while I was looking through my photos, I noticed this really funny photo of my partner-in-crime, Elise!

    DSC_0577

Not sure how can I describe her. Just join me in laughing! I’m prepared to get whack by her! But again, what image is left of her already??? :P

I am going to announce two official good news!! Firstly, I will be opening up my Facebook account (finally). Beware! I might top your game scores!! Hahahaha.

And secondly, I am the unofficial official Aunty for Kenny’s new-born nephew!! (He says I am official, ok so I am *shy*)

    P4121098

I will be going in Malaysia this weekend to see him for the first time. Kenny keep insisting that he looks like him, rather than his biological father.

Let me end off this post abruptly with this photo!

Funny or not?! Or at least I thought it was LOL! Thanks for reading my short and random post. Hoped you didn’t thought you just wasted a few mins of your life..

    Feb 10

Sorry for the dust piling up in this cyber space.

Last weekend, Kenny and I decided to spend our weekend less hectic, more relaxing and most importantly a non money-burden day. The most entertainment yet, money-free ways are through internet, drama and movie.

Everyone is raving about the recent Taiwan drama, “Hi, my sweetheart” which aired its season finale a few weeks ago.

Many many years ago, the Taiwan drama trend tsunami-ed the young hearts with super unrealistic, dreamy lovestory that could never ever happen in real life. Let me stress – NEVER!

The sad fact remains that people just LIKE to watch such fairytale storylines and hope for the slightest chance they would meet someone like the perfectly painted guy – will never exist. I don’t deny not going gaga over some of the guys but honestly not the crazy kind. Uh maybe i will just check on his updates and recent images.. but not stalk him every single day.

My favourite Taiwanese drama actor -  Jerry Yan (Because of Meteorgarden) and Mike He (Devil by your side)!

Let me tell you about the very typical Taiwanese dramas, their plots and the characters.

You must trust me with this! Eversince p6, I have been a drama fanatic. Way before downloads and streamings are easily accessible/sourced, I spent a huge portion of my pocket money from school just to buy VCD (DVD is exp and not really as popular now) from TS or Poh Kim continously. Until a point whereby I started introducing dramas to my classmates and literally renting them out by sets. Some of them I believe have failed to retrieve back till now.

The trend goes like this – Hong kong serial has always been popular and on-going. Concurrently, Japanese drama were as popular. My favourite drama is a J-drama which remains unbeatable from my heavenly charts of drama.

    http://shop.hkdvdstore.com/images/tv-god_please_give_me_more_time_aka_precious_time_kamisama_mou_sukoshi_dake_j0599d.jpg

Still my favourite Japanese actor and actress!

Soon, it was overshadowed by Taiwanese drama during the Meteorgarden period, den all sorts of “Ou Xiang Ju” starts to pop out. This is the Ga-ga period. SUPER Rich and handsome guys + poor, not so pretty girls.

Not long after, the entire drama scene starts to be infected with – death, illness, separation, reunion, childhood.

Illustration: The couple knew each other since they were toddlers (happen to mature so fast to understand love), got separated somehow, finally got back together but realised one of the party was diagnosed with terminal diseases, either a very heart-wrenching ending or a good one.

Either way, 80% of the show = crying non-stop! Not saying that these shows have a poor storyline, but when such’trend’ appears, every type of drama from all over the world starts following! The heavily infected ones are Taiwanese and Korean. It then became very typical and boring. How good is it when you have expected the storyline? Needless of spoilers to be spoiled!

Soon, it became so darn boring and I don’t see the point in wasting my time watching so much of asian dramas anymore. Then, Jdrama died down a lot (don’t know why), Taiwanese storyline becoming ridiculous (too much cartoon and comic effect, not funny) and korean drama became too typical, HKdrama will watch whenever there are nice ones. So, my attention diverts to US dramas, when most popular during Heroes, Prison Break & Lost era.

I can write a 10 page long essay on dramas but I want to keep this post short by going into the focus now.

As I was saying, Kenny and I planned to watch “Hi, My Sweetheart” (I know the title sounds very uh.. typical)

Initally when my friends were urging me to catch it, I thought it will be just like any typical T-drama. Really skeptical about it. BUT I WAS WRONG.

NO HANDSOME GUY, NO DEATHS, PERFECT TWIST IN PLOT.

But still it retains the original flavours such as, the main guy being a rich dude, always having a super duper nice guy (usually the third party) who always be there for the girl but eventually sees the woman he loves with another guy, use of extravagant words like, “WO MEN YI BEI ZI DOU BU FEN KAI” (Will not part forever), there are worse lah, but I couldn’t remember and lastly most commonly used in ALL SORTS OF DRAMA – Amnesia (memory lost) OR car accident.

Despite all of the above, it is still a great show, with very well-balanced of humor and love.

What strikes me most are the twist of storyline and the purest love being protrayed. It is now an ugly, mushroom head guy calling the shots. Who knows if this serial could even influence young girls to appreciate inner beauty. I like how this show goes deep into researching the angle of the roles, reflecting on the pros and cons of someone’s life.

The love:  I could really feel the pain both parties are going through as if I was in their shoes.. The eagerness to be heard/answered and desperation to grasp that only chance (even if it is just 5 mins) to say the truth, so much that I can relate to it.. Many touching scenes, you just can’t control your tears.

Apart from all these drama moments, you can just die laughing at Show Luo!! Super multi-talented guy!!

The director has picked the best male and female lead suited for this drama. I must say Rainie’s acting and singing skills improved tremendously. No one can act better than Show Luo for the role. ( I never thought he is ever handsome, but in fact very charming after watching this!)

Definitely worth the wait for finally some good T-drama after all the years.

Lastly, embeding one of the theme song for the show – Yu Ai from Rainie Yang.

The combination impact of this song + the sad scenes in the show are sufficient to wet ur eyes! Enjoy!

BYE! Have a great day ahead!

Say congrats to me because I am still doing my plantation after 1 & 1/2 weeks!! Woohoo!

This picture above was taken 3 days after seeding. Sprouties are so cute, just like babies! Didn’t know plants look so cute still when they are just a few days old!

Don’t ask me what is the name of this plant because I have totally no idea. I threw the paper away.. all I am hoping now is  for the flowers to bloom! Hopefully.. even 1 pathetic, soulless flower will do. Hahahah!

Anyway I have also planted another pot too (different plant) but I am lazy to upload the pics! I will post them up when they have grown to “youth” stage.

One bad thing staying in HDB flats is that the sunlight shines through only at a single side. Meaning only about 50% of the plant surface will receive more sunlight than the rest, therefore it tends to bend towards the sunlight as it grows. Which can be pretty ugly. In fact, all the plants you see growing at the HDB corridors have an duper obvious slant as if they are so deprived of it. So just today, I rotated sproutie 180degree in hopes that they will bend back! Hahahha.

Still, thanks to Jave and Elise for helping me with the planting one Saturday after MJ :D

One last question before I sleep. Is blood pressure 99 considered normal?

    Overdue Birthday
    icon1 honeyflash | icon2 Random Updates | icon4 12 15th, 2009| icon32 Comments »

Just yesterday, I went emotional on Kenny, rambling and grumbling about my 21st birthday.

Due to some hiccups during the Genting trip (supposedly to ‘celebrate’), I barely see him on the actual day. What happened was at the custom, he had forgotten to bring his work permit. He needs to head back home and take the morning bus instead. Thus, all our timings mismatched! And eventually, there wasn’t any ‘celebration’ at all. Not even a cake or muffin, a birthday song or a melody. To sum it up, my inner voice was just stomping my heart implicating that no-one-cares.

I have actually long forgotten about it cos 2 weeks have actually passed.. but yesterday I was overwhelmed with sadness out of the blue. LOL. That explains my password protected post below.

So anyway, I was down with stomach flu today and was advised to have less-solid intake. And knowing that Kenny has to work OT today, I have decided to cook ABC soup to sorta ‘reward’ him. While waiting for ingredient to seep into the taste, I went to take a shower and as I walked to the living room, Kenny surprised me with a strawberry birthday cake which popped out from nowhere, lit up the candle and sang a birthday song!!! Super unexpected and sweet of him!! He said it is to compensate on what I had missed out this year. Now you must be thinking that I am so easily contented right!

    DSC_0281

Anyway I will post up my Genting pics soon!

Only Elise plays MJ like this. But it seems that this lion of hers (nicknamed, Tissue) didn’t help her much!

In fact, she usually wins when it is out of sight.

As you can see above, I just cruelly smashed a frigging long leg spider with a Nokia navigator phone I found a hand-stretch away. Gladly inserted my memory card, slotted in the battery which was still charging then and snapped a photo while it struggled miserably to death.

Wanted to do a macro-shot, but was too lazy to reverse the lense and do all the nonsense.

Why is a spider appearing on my bed anyway!?!?!? Geez.

This post doesn’t make much sense as partly doing it so that I could feel tired and be ready for bed. And now that I am finishing off this last part, I think it is time that I stop contributing to my eye rings. It worked.

    Girls hang-out.

I got my nails painted. Yes, PINK it is. But never a fan of pink.. And thats the ‘equal’ after girls + hangout.

BY RIGHT, I am supposed to have colour number 244 – which they have ran out of stock. Therefore, BY LEFT (and just randomly) I chose this colour. On the palette, it is supposed to be nud-er. Don’t know why it turned out like this. This add on is for sure gonna further limit my wardrobe. Not a huge one to begin with.

Before I did my nails, I was at Orchard Ion with Javelynn, Elise & Elaine. We had Japanese for dinner at this affordable yet great place – Watami. I regret not bringing my camera, cos the food is just so good that a photo would do much justice!  But maybe you can check out Elaine’s blog sometime after, as she snapped them. It is located at B3 (just beside the escalator linking down to the push carts). It is really goooooood!!

As I have already combed the mall last Saturday, I decided to be tame by keeping my purse put. It was a crazy buy that day with 2 shoes from Mitju, 1 cardigan and a jeans from Berskha. Adding on my Christmas gift for Kenny – a CK belt.

    Just. No. More.
